Sustainable Project in Nijverdal: Sheltr Apartments on Screw Foundations
In het centrum van Nijverdal hebben we een bijzonder project mogen realiseren: het funderen van de innovatieve Sheltr Appartementen van Bouw•Novum. Deze modulaire appartementen zijn ontworpen voor snelle en efficiënte bouw dankzij geprefabriceerde elementen. Met een focus op duurzaamheid, kwaliteit en flexibiliteit zijn de Sheltr Appartementen een perfecte match voor toekomstgericht wonen.
Marcel van Bouw•Novum en zijn team hebben een uniek biobased bouw- en energieconcept ontwikkeld. Dit concept is niet alleen innovatief, maar ook praktisch: afhankelijk van dan geldende bestemming kunnen zij na tien jaar besluiten om de appartementen te verplaatsen. Dankzij onze Schroeffunderingen blijft de bodem volledig intact en kan de stalen fundering eenvoudig worden verwijderd én hergebruikt. Een slimme keuze voor zowel tijdelijke als permanente bouwoplossingen!
De keuze voor Schroeffunderingen kwam in een later stadium, wat een extra uitdaging met zich meebracht. Omdat deze techniek nog relatief nieuw is in Nederland, was een gesprek met de @gemeente Hellendoorn noodzakelijk. Het overtuigen van de betrokken partijen vergde tijd, maar met ons team van Weenk Schroeffundering (WSF) hebben samen we de gemeente overtuigd door trek-drukproeven te doen. De resultaten waren indrukwekkend en overtroffen de verwachtingen. De constructeur was snel overtuigd van de betrouwbaarheid en duurzaamheid van ons systeem.
Wat dit project extra bijzonder maakt, is de duurzame gedachte erachter. De gemeente Hellendoorn werkt met biobased materialen en kiest bewust voor milieuvriendelijke oplossingen. Dankzij onze Schroeffunderingen kan de grond, wanneer de appartementen worden verwijderd, volledig worden teruggegeven aan de natuur. Een prachtige samenwerking en een project waar we als WSF trots op zijn!
In the heart of Nijverdal, we had the privilege of contributing to a remarkable project: laying the foundations for the innovative Sheltr Apartments by Bouw•Novum. These modular apartments are designed for fast and efficient construction, utilizing prefabricated elements. With a strong focus on sustainability, quality, and flexibility, Sheltr Apartments are the ideal solution for future-oriented living.
Marcel from Bouw•Novum and his team developed a unique biobased construction and energy concept. This concept is not only innovative but also practical: depending on future zoning decisions, the apartments can be relocated after ten years. Thanks to our screw foundations, the soil remains completely intact, and the steel foundations can easily be removed and reused. A smart choice for both temporary and permanent building solutions!
The decision to use screw foundations was made later in the process, presenting an additional challenge. Since this technology is still relatively new in the Netherlands, discussions with the Municipality of Hellendoorn were necessary. Convincing the involved parties took time, but with the help of our team at Weenk Screw Foundations (WSF), we demonstrated the system’s reliability through pull and pressure tests. The results were impressive, exceeding expectations, and quickly convincing the municipality’s structural engineer of the system’s durability and sustainability.
What makes this project even more special is the sustainable vision behind it. The Municipality of Hellendoorn actively works with biobased materials and consciously opts for environmentally friendly solutions. Thanks to our screw foundations, the land can be fully returned to nature when the apartments are removed. A wonderful collaboration and a project we at WSF are incredibly proud of!
