A Challenging Project in the Heart of Almelo: Robust Screw Foundation for a New Bridge
In hartje Almelo zijn we gestart met een prachtig project: het vervangen van een oude brug. Een belangrijk onderdeel hiervan is de bouw van een Berliner wand, een stevige grondkering bestaande uit verticaal geplaatste stalen H- of I-profielen. Onze schroeffunderingen vormen hierbij de basis en zorgen ervoor dat de wanden stabiel blijven en niet naar binnen zakken. Dit project vraagt om een innovatieve aanpak vanwege de beperkte ruimte in het centrum en de behoefte aan maximale veiligheid tijdens de ontgraving.
Omdat onze schroeffunderingen vrijwel trillingvrij in de grond worden gedraaid, vormen ze een uitstekende keuze in dichtbebouwde gebieden. Elke schroeffundering bestaat uit twee delen van vier meter, die stevig aan elkaar worden bevestigd. Dankzij de grote spiraal en de open punt, die de grond effectief naar binnen leidt, kunnen we zonder problemen een diepte van acht meter bereiken. Hiermee ontstaat een sterke, veilige basis voor de Berliner wand die een stabiele fundering biedt voor de nieuwe brug.
In the heart of Almelo, we have embarked on an exciting project: replacing an old bridge. A key component of this endeavor is the construction of a Berliner wall, a sturdy retaining structure made of vertically placed steel H- or I-profiles. Our screw foundations form the base for this structure, ensuring the walls remain stable and do not shift inward. This project requires an innovative approach due to the limited space in the city center and the need for maximum safety during excavation.
Because our screw foundations are installed with virtually no vibrations, they are an excellent choice for densely built-up areas. Each foundation consists of two four-meter sections that are securely connected. Thanks to the large spiral and open tip, which efficiently channels soil inward, we can easily reach a depth of eight meters. This creates a strong, reliable base for the Berliner wall, providing a stable foundation for the new bridge.
